David Serra, married and father of two children, is an athlete since he was very young. An injury forced him to stop and he knew the exciting world of physiotherapy.
He is graduated in Physiotherapy by the Gimbernat University School, 1991. Number of member of the College of Physiotherapists of Catalonia: 1.124. First national promotion of postgraduate of sports physiotherapy, 1994. Athlete with experience in competitions since 1978.
David Serra is a pioneer in the use of diathermy applied in the field of physiotherapy since the early 1990s and he has become a reference in this technique. He participates in different international groups of expert physiotherapists to exchange knowledge. He collaborates as a trainer with the French company Winback.
World-class athletes have trusted in his hands such as Maria Sharapova (No. 2 of the World in Tennis), Javier Gómez Noya (Silver Triathlon JJOO London), Maria Vasco (Bronce 20 Km JJOO Sydney), Fernando Belasteguin (No. 1 of the World in Padel), Pablo Lima (No. 2 of the World in Padel), Roger Roca (Duathlon World Champion), Anton Krupicka (legendary ultra-trail runner) and Marcel Zamora (Five times Ironman Champion of Nice).
David Serra Fisioterapia has been present in more than 50 sport events and they are official collaborator of the Spanish Triathlon Federation. David Serra is also the Medical Coach of the Adidas Runners Barcelona Community.
After a few years of expansion with 3 clinics under his name in the province of Barcelona, he currently continues his activity in the original clinic located in Cerdanyola, offering individualized treatments of private physiotherapy and also dedicating time to innovation within the field of physiotherapy.
